It is designed … Read more This is a 19th-century French Ciel de Lit, wooden frame partially gilded and originally painted “Trianon” grey. It is designed to be hung from the ceiling and retains the original hooks used to secure the fabric to the frame—a unique design with canted corners. The oval central medallion is 14” long x 10” wide. The ribs are gently curved. There are some issues of wear that add to the shabby chic look. This frame would work very well in a period room or as an accent in a modern setting. See less
