Stamped … Read more This elegantly understated scalloped brass bowl raised slightly on a round plinth features thick walls and a substantial weight. Stamped MALM on the back, it is likely Scandinavian or Danish, and could have been made by Malmo, a Swedish lighting company active between the 1930s and 1960s. Nordisk Malm and Ædel Malm are Danish designers who also produced decorative brass objects similar to this in the mid-20th century, to which this bowl may be attributed. Regardless of knowing its precise provenance, this cereal or soup-sized bowl makes a generous catchall for keys in a foyer, limes on a drinks table, or a candle holder on a mantle. See less
