Its design merges organic growth with functional form, as four branch-like legs rise and interconnect to support a broad top that preserves the tree’s growth rings and natural cracking. The top displays the full history of the tree, with visible radial grain and deep fissures, some of which are sealed with dark resin to stabilize and highlight the imperfections.
