Fabulous collection of hand painted bird relief made of plaster and framed in a shadow box by Joseph Q. Whipple for Abercrombie and Fitch. Each is marked on the back. This collection is great to be hung together in gallery style. Birds range from Canadian goose, mallard, quail, duck, etc. Each one is framed in a glass shadow box with wood frames. Beautiful detail in each hand painted painting.

Joseph Q. Whipple, Sr. (American, Ohio; 1917 – 2008). Joe specialized in hand-carved wildlife creations in relief, which combined a painted plaster half section of the carved body of a bird or animal that would be mounted against a flat hand-painted backdrop, and then the entire artwork would usually be set into a shadow box frame.
