The hunting volume, and first to be published, of the Badminton Library of Sports and Pastimes, by the Duke of Beaufort (1824-99). Soldier and politician, he was the Conservative MP for East Gloucestershire, 1846-53, before succeeding to the title. He was the founder and editor of the Badminton Library. The joint author was Mowbray Walter Morris (1847-1911). Appendices include a list of hunts and names of hounds. First published 1885.
