Monkey business! Set of three wood and rope monkeys that hang in a charming chain when attached. They are designed with bendable wire armatures and dressed in embellished burlap outfits. Their ears are leather and their eyes are metal studs. The ‘Daddy’ monkey originally displayed a sign which reads, ‘I like you you’re my kind of people’. Their look is reminiscent of Kay Bojesen designs from the same era. Perfect friend gift for someone who likes retro kitsch. Made in Japan.
Good vintage condition with some signs of wear including loose twine on the rope leg of the little girl monkey.
As a unit, the monkey chain measures 33” long x 9” at the widest x 5” deep. Separately, each monkey measures as follows:
