This rare sliding door wardrobe, designed by the celebrated Gianfranco Frattini and manufactured by Bernini, Italy in 1957. It epitomizes the refined elegance of mid-century modern design. Constructed from luxurious rosewood, the wardrobe highlights a rich, warm grain that transforms it into a functional work of art. Recently restored to its original brilliance, the piece is in excellent condition, showcasing only minimal wear at the corners—a testament to its durability and quality. The wardrobe’s design features two expansive sliding doors with integrated oval handles, a signature detail of Frattini’s work during this period. Behind these doors lies versatile storage: two large open compartments that can be customized (by us) with shelves, or used as hanging space with the included wardrobe pole. This adaptability makes the piece both practical and elegant. What sets this wardrobe apart is its thoughtful design on all sides, allowing it to be positioned as a centerpiece in a room rather than relegated to a corner. Its graceful proportions and meticulous craftsmanship make it not just a storage solution, but a stunning focal point that enhances any interior space. Finding such a well-preserved example of this rosewood edition is a rarity, making it a coveted treasure for collectors and enthusiasts of mid-century modern design. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
