This beautiful set owes its beauty mainly to the material used; both the base, the flexible arm and the lampshade are made of brass.

Brass is strong, ductile, and resistant to many forms of corrosion.
Furthermore, brass has a high thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity, making it very suitable for lamps.

Lastly, brass has a distinctive golden color and lustre, which gives it an aesthetic appeal and a historical value.

These brass table lamps were produced by Massive, in the 1980s and 1990s they were the absolute market leader in consumer lighting in Belgium and Western Europe.

The commercial headquarters was located in Wommelgem and engineering and production in Kontich.
