Chinese vanity mirror adorned with floral cloisonné enamel
Chinese, early 20th century
This strikingly beautiful vanity mirror would add a splash of color and design to any room. The mirror is crafted using the traditional Chinese technique of cloisonné enamel. The shaped base of the mirror, as well as the bracket that holds the circular mirror itself, is abundantly decorated with colored enamels, all wrought into wonderful scrolling flowers and leaves. The mirror itself is contained within a bronze frame, which is suspended between the arms of the bracket.
