Jaffa, in Hebrew Yafo and in Arabic Yafa and also called Japho or Joppa, is an ancient Levantine port city founded by the Canaanites that is now part of southern Tel Aviv, Israel. This print originates from 'The Holy Land, Syria, Idumea, Arabia, Egypt & Nubia' by David Roberts. Published 1842-49. David Roberts (1769-1864), was one of the first painters in the 19th century who came to the Middle East and published and shared its views with the European audience. See less
