A very rare piece by this fabulous designer.

Chrome metal arm supporting a magnificent blown Murano glass tulip.
Transparent, with very light shades of sky blue.

Toni Zuccheri:

Born in San Vito al Tagliamento (Udine) in 1936.
His father was the painter Luigi Zuccheri.
His mother Jolanda was the sister of the poet and philosopher Giacomo Noventa.
In 1945, the family moved to Venice, where he met important figures in culture and art:
Giorgio De Chirico, Carlo Scarpa, Giorgio Bassani, Elio Zorzi, Mario Soldati, and others.
In 1960, he studied architecture, with Franco Albini, Ignazio Gardella, Ludovico Belgioioso, Carlo Scarpa, Bruno Zevi, Samonà, and others as his teachers.
He became interested in glass and began working at a very young age at Venini, where he invented and reinvented working techniques, shapes, and colors.
He went on to work with Gio Ponti, Lucio Fontana,
and Gaetano Pesce, among others, and his passion for glass remained with him until his death in 2008.
