A long and very distinguished late George III period English sideboard with a dramatically shaped front contour and very fine … Read more A long and very distinguished late George III period English sideboard with a dramatically shaped front contour and very fine inlays. Richly colored and finely figured mahogany is embellished with kingwood cross banding and light wood inlay of urns, grape vines and ellipses. The top is a remarkable single board of mahogany. Legs are square tapered and terminating in spade feet. The left side has a neat push button activated cabinet door with storage space inside, the right contains a fully lined wine drawer with 11 compartments and a drain. The center is a single wide drawer. Good antique condition, good finish. Top with some gentle undulation and related age separations, (that have been mitigated) especially on the left side, patina, and a few small restorations. Ca. 1800.
