An antique original 19th century oil in canvas in the manner of The Hudson River School of painting.
The scene unfolds on a river with mountains in the background. Trees and other foliage live along the rover's edge. In the right lower corner a man walks with hs fishing pole.
No evidence of a signature to the visible eye at this time.

In its original gilt wood frame. The reverse shows some signs of repair to a few holes or breaks in the canvas. Framed without glass. The canvas is very very old and fragile.
