Printed on a piece of paper on the back:
"--Born 1956 near Moscow, Russia--
--Started painting as a small child--
--At age 16, 1976, started at Academy of Design in St. Petersburg, Russia--
--Spent 6 years in art school, receiving a Masters Degree --
--Studied sculpture in the summers with head of a sculpture union--
--Came to America 1983 where he painted, travelled, and assisted artist Chester Arnold at College of Marin--
--In 1995, he decided to return to Russia to study with his old teacher--
- As I had the opportunity to buy his collection of paintings and sketches,
I did so. I sold several of his works, then put the rest in storage, as my elderly parents needed my assistance back east. I have, just now in 2016, after 21 years, put the
collection back on the market--
--The last time I talked with Alex, he was backpacking, camping,
sketching, and painting his way across deserts of Tajikistan--

Please see all the photos for further clarification on condition and feel free to ask any questions that aren't answered here. Vintage items have been previously owned and loved, and will show some level of wear consistent with this prior use. There is some natural wear to the frame, especially around the edges and corners, that has happened over time. Faint cracks and some separation are apparent on the frame in the corners, as shown in the photos. The drawing has some stains, discoloration and wrinkling. The back corner of the back panel is raising up from the frame, as shown clearly in photo #11. The frame has different grades of coloration and some small chips. If I have missed something in my inspection of the piece, please contact me. Please note that colors of products shown may vary slightly due to monitor display settings or photography studio lighting. The photos serve as an additional description.
