Solid cherry with rich reddish finish, the serpentine top fitted with a protective glass panel, over two short drawers and four graduated long drawers, all with brass Chippendale-style bail pulls and escutcheons. Case fitted with a pull-out writing slide above the upper long drawer. Raised on carved bracket feet. Dovetailed solid wood drawer construction with oak/poplar secondary woods.

Dimensions: 29.5" H x 30.5" W x 20" D.

Note: Although unmarked, the quality of construction, choice of solid cherry, and traditional details, such as the pull-out writing slide, suggest production by a fine American maker, likely in the tradition of Henkel-Harris, Councill, or Baker Furniture, circa 1940–1960. See less
