A mid-20th century English leather elephant sculpture, standing 24 inches tall. Crafted over a wooden or papier mache frame and wrapped in richly patinated dark brown leather, with carved ivory-colored tusks, glass eyes, and stitched ears. The raised trunk — long considered a symbol of good fortune — and the animal’s forward stride give the piece a lively presence.
