Rare vintage mid 20th century Chinese Famille Verte porcelain table lamp, hand-painted with a beautiful and intricate bok choy design. The body of the lamp features a detailed motif of leafy bok choy, delicate and colorful insects and flowers, including butterflies and dragonflies, scattered across the surface. The vibrant color palette is characteristic of the Famille Verte style, which gained prominence during the Kangxi period and continues to be highly prized today.
Mounted on a carved black wooden base and lamp is topped with a brass finial featuring the Chinese character for longevity, a symbol of good fortune and a long life.
