A good sized 19th century classical grand tour bronze group of ariadne and the panther, modelled with ariadne reclining to the left while her head is looking to the same side, with her robe across her panther with wide stride and head turned to dexter. Circa 1830. After johann heinrich dannecker. In good condition with a well built up rich patina with highlights in areas. A crisp casting and harder to find model.
