The lights feature a pair of elegant 1940s swedish pendants with a refined combination of materials and forms. Each pendant is suspended from a brass ceiling canopy with a slender brass rod, leading into a warm wooden stem that adds depth and contrast. The design transitions into a stepped black bakelite fitting, which holds a smooth, opaline glass globe shade. The globes provide a soft, diffused light, characteristic of industrial scandinavian design. Overall, the pendants embody a balanced blend of brass, wood, and glass and bakelite, showcasing both functional simplicity and decorative sophistication typical of swedish modernist lighting of the era. Sieverts kabelverk was founded in 1888 by max sievert in sundbyberg, sweden, and grew into one of europe’s largest cable and lighting manufacturers, supplying lighting and power and telecommunication cables. Acquired by lm ericsson in 1928, it remained a key part of swedish industry for decades before merging into ericsson cables in the 1980s. The business later became part of hexatronic and nkt, and its legacy continues with modern production in sweden. It played an important role in the development of sundbyberg and left a lasting industrial heritage. Measurements: total height 29.9" (76cm), diameter glass lampshade 7.9" (20cm), height glass lampshade 7.9" (20cm). Diameter canopy 4" (10cm). The length of the lamp rods are customizable. The lights require one e26/e27 bulb each. All lighting converted for us usage.
