Her facial expression sullen, she … Read more This unframed portrait depicts a young woman posting next to a window in a chair. Her facial expression sullen, she seems as if she'd rather be doing anything than posing for a portrait. Piece is stretched upon varnished wood stretchers on extremely old canvas with nails keeping art intact and in place.
On reverse side of canvas, a rough sketch of a face and head show a potential beginning of another portrait that never came to fruition. Despite obvious signs of wear on/throughout painting (see photos/videos), this antique artwork is hauntingly beautiful and remains in good condition.
