From the artist’s home estate, this abstract modernist painting features reclining figures rendered in simplified outline. Set within a triangular wood frame, the richly textured surface in earthy tones adds depth and sculptural presence.
Sandra Orlovsky Schwartz (1938–2023) was a New York–based painter and educator, trained at Pratt and the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, who exhibited widely in New York City and on Long Island’s North Fork.
