Robert Guillerme (1913–1990) and Jacques Chambron (1914–2001) were two iconic French designers from the 1950s to the 1970s. Graduates of the École Boulle and the École des Arts Appliqués de Reims respectively, they founded the company "Votre Maison" in Lille in 1949, in collaboration with cabinetmaker Émile Dariosecq. Their furniture, primarily made of waxed oak, is distinguished by sculpted lines, ceramic details, and colorful textiles, combining functionality with a warm aesthetic. The "Grand Repos" armchair is one of their most iconic creations. Their humanist approach to design, centered on comfort and everyday life, has left a lasting mark on the history of French furniture.
