The geometric shape of the cross is characterized by asymmetrical, non rectangular ends, giving the object a raw, almost archaic appearance. The finely crafted figure of Christ, made of a light material, forms a strong visual contrast to the darker wooden cross. The figure is simply attached with nails, emphasizing the expressive character of the piece. Four fingers are missing from the left hand of the Christ figure due to age. A milled recess is located on the back for easy wall mounting. An exceptional religious object for collectors, lovers of Brutalist forms, or as a spiritual statement in modern interior design.
