Originating from the Vannes region, it subtly evokes the curved lines of crossbow chests, while asserting its maritime character through the solidity of its wood and the richness of its ornamentation.
It opens with three large identical drawers, each adorned with finely crafted bronze handles and insets.
The uprights are highlighted by a molding, while the crosspieces, also molded, add to the harmony of the whole.
The piece rests on "snail" front legs, typical of the Louis XV aesthetic, which give it a graceful yet assertive appearance.
This chest of drawers reflects Breton craftsmanship and 18th-century French elegance. A true work of cabinetmaking.
