during the university years spent between Palermo and Rome. After … Read more CARLA SUTERA SARDO (Agrigento, 1983) approached photography out of passion
during the university years spent between Palermo and Rome. After her initial approach
to photography, as a self-taught artist, through the "self-portrait", she dedicates herself to greater
experimentation, linked to the most unusual and uncontaminated aspects of Sicilian
nature and develops a personal language that allows her to express her own vision of
things through the camera. Her research focuses on women and on
communication between bodies and landscapes. The constant intent is to create
dreamlike images, suspended in time.
Her photographs have been published by magazines such as L'oeil de la Photographie and
Vogue Italia and have received awards including the Sony World
Photography Awards, the Siena Photography Awards and the Prix del la Photographie.
Carla Sutera Sardo has exhibited in London, Turin, Florence, Palermo, Zhengzhou,
