A substantial French Art Deco sideboard from the 1930s-1940s, by Charles Dudouyt.
French modernism, sculptural oak, and that carved geometric relief that’s become iconic Dudouyt, the interior is fitted with shelves, allowing two tiers of storage. Middle top drawer above an open panel compartment.
It’s heavy, monumental, and sculptural- the kind of piece that commands attention and anchors any room it’s placed in.
Condition wise this piece is in very good condition with the right hand front panel showing separation (it is not noticeable unless you look for it). There is also some darkening where an option hutch sat on top. Structurally sound and no wobbling or unevenness. Comes with original 3 brass keys.
