An inspection of the verso reveals a darkened stretcher, with a yellowed loosely woven canvas that is nailed to the stretcher. This suggests the piece may be one of the artist's earlier works estimated c. 1930. This painting is described as a modernist landscape depicting a boat landing with homes framed by thick trees reflecting on gentle waters. The work is set in a later frame based on the newer brackets that secure the stretcher. The stretcher is approximately 23.625" x 31.875" (60cm x 81cm). Frame measurements are 33.5" x 42".
