This early-to-mid-19th-century oil painting is exceptionally well-preserved, with a stable paint surface and rich, undisturbed coloration. The canvas shows no visible losses, tears, or restorations from the front. Craquelure is light and entirely stable, consistent with age and original materials. The painting has been lightly cleaned and re-varnished in recent years, giving it a warm, even luster while preserving the authentic patina of its period. The work is securely mounted to a newer stretcher and housed in a modern giltwood frame that complements the palette and composition. The frame is in very good condition overall, with only minor surface wear along the outer edges. Ready to hang and enjoy. less
