This early 1900s Dutch oak bobbin corner chair with rush seat has time earned patina. Hand-turned spindles are an example of the fine craftsmanship of that period. Originating in 17th and 18th century French parlors, the bobbin style was revived in the 1900s, as the Arts and Crafts movement emphasized handcrafted pieces and traditional designs.
We buy these whenever we find them. My pickers generally find them in France, the Netherlands and the UK.
