This text, written in Estonian, describes a print of an engraving:
• It is a reproduction of E. Wiiralt's engraving titled "Moo-nika"
• It was produced as a birthday gift for members of U. E. K.
ORTO during the years 1957/1958.
• It is not for sale ("Mittemüüdav").
"Monika" was created during wartime, and like other works from this period, it reflects a shift in Wiiralt's themes towards homeland and national status, conveying a sense of courage, resistance, and self-preservation in the face of war and occupation.
