With its gracefully bowed front, turned legs, and reeded side columns, the chest offers a refined silhouette characteristic of the era’s elegance and symmetry. The warm, reddish hue of the mahogany and the light-catching grain pattern give the piece a stately yet welcoming presence.

The chest features four graduated drawers with cockbeaded edges and early hand-cut dovetails, reflecting quality construction and time-honored joinery. While the brass batwing drawer pulls are replacements, they suit the design well and enhance its period look. The scalloped skirt adds a subtle flourish that balances the strong architectural lines of the case.

In nice antique condition, the piece shows minor surface wear consistent with age and normal use, but no significant fading. There is a small section of molding missing on the right side, as shown in the photos.
