The design features a thick rectangular top framed with mitered corners resting on a bold sculptural base with curved legs and substantial presence. Its organic form and artisan construction blend timeless character with a modern silhouette.
The table's generous scale and natural imperfections-including visible knots and aged fissures-give it a warmth and authenticity, making it a standout piece in both refined and relaxed interiors.
I purchased it at an antique shop in Austin in the 90's, and they called it an antique opium bed.
