Orientalist bronze with a brown patina, depicting an Arab in motion, holding a rifle, hiding in the folds of his clothing.
This sculpture is signed Miniati on the base and bears the inscription "Firenze."
Augusto Miniati was an Italian artist from Tuscany (1885-1971). He studied at the Institute of Decorative Arts and the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence.
In the 1920s, he participated in the creation of monuments commemorating the deaths of Tuscan students during World War I.
In 1926, he was named an honorary member of the Academy of Drawing Arts.
Good overall condition.
