The 12 … Read more A colorful, hand worked, ceramic ewer by the Italian Bitossi company with has a raised jewel design.

The 12 in tall ceramic ewer has been decorated in an olive-green glaze with yellow flecks. Around the middle of the body is a matte brown band bedazzled with orange, blue, white and green raised elements that resemble jewels. There is a matching decorative band at the neck. The mouth has a pinched spout.

The foot is unglazed and shows the red of the clay. The foot has a cut flat edge. The base has a shiny brown glaze. A gold paper label on the base reads "HAND CRAFTED" IN ITALY. There is also a hand-written mark in the glaze that reads ITALY and the number 8282.

MEASUREMENTS
12 in (30.5 cm) tall x 6 in (15.2 cm) diameter. Weighs 3 lbs 5.3 oz.

CONDITION
There are no chips, cracks, breaks, or repairs. It is in excellent vintage condition. The glazes are bright and colorful.
