With twenty-eight full page, tinted and partially coloured plates by Aldin, drawn from his own sketch books. Collated, complete.
Each plate depicts a variety of illustrations of dog breeds.
Aldin was best known for his delightful paintings and sketches of animals, sports, and rural life, influenced by artists such as Randolph Caldecott and John Leech.
