Magnificent, American 18th Century turned maple and hickory corner roundabout chair, circa 1770. This lovely piece features a horseshoe shaped crest rail with scrolled hand rests above vase turned posts, joined by shaped cross slats above a square form rushed seat. It rests on four turned legs by turned stretchers with short vasiform feet.
Proudly displayed in my late Grandmother's estate in Saddle River, NJ. It sat in a corner of my Grandmother's home office for decades, near a window. Stunning and majestic piece.
