The chairs … Read more Distinctive set of six rattan dining armchairs made in the California coastal organic modern style by McGuire artisans. The chairs featuring a thick pole rattan frame decorated with gothic-inspired lancet arch cathedral designs on the backs and sides. The open fretwork style is reminscent of Chinese Chippendale. The exposed joints are lashed together with rawhide leather laces the rattan has an intentionally distressed patina on the patinated finish for a weathered coastal aesthetic. The seat cushions have been newly upholstered with a French ticking stripe style fabric in blue and white. Sturdy and strong with a warm finish and iconic profile. From an estate in Santa Barbara, CA. McGuire makers plaque on bottoms.
