The chairs have … Read more Dramatic and opulent set of eight McGuire rattan and cane dining chairs featuring a gilt lacquer finish. The chairs have a round cameo or balloon back with a caned back and seat. The seat is fitted with a deep, loose seat cushion upholstered with a chenille boucle style fabric in a deep indigo blue with a shimmery teal ground. The backs are upholstered with a complementary fabric having a graceful geometric design and rich colors that fade into each other in a bohemian aesthetic. The rattan frames are lashed together with leather rawhide laces. The chairs have McGuire plaques on the seat bottoms. Beautifully crafted with solid joinery and a stunning gilt finish. Sold as a set of eight. From an estate in San Francisco, CA. Cane is tight and intact. Makers mark underneath.
