This mirror is an iconic piece from the 1960s. It is commonly called an ORTF mirror because of its shape, which is somewhat reminiscent of the French television logo of the time. Its spiral design can also evoke an eye, a sun, or an eclipse.
There are still a few models from this period, but\. the one we offer is unique because it has a unique feature that sets it apart from its smaller counterparts. The mirror is encircled with a wicker braid. This gives depth and texture to the mirror, enhancing its appeal even more.
It is made up of 55 spokes of varying sizes. The longest ones feature large, shiny brass nails that blend beautifully with the warm shade of the patinated rattan.
This large mirror is truly one of our favorites, and we have no doubt it will become yours. It is in very good condition for its age, both the rattan and wicker, as well as the mirror. It has some signs of age that in no way detract from its beauty. The longest strand of rattan is slightly curved (see photo), but this doesn't detract from its captivating silhouette.
