Standing at the finish line (before he was unceremoniously told to leave) the artist recalls that the last moments of the race were a powerful blur. The horses and jockeys melded together in one moving shape. The ground was shaking--dirt flying everywhere.

The brush strokes here indicate a certain frenzy. Though the bodies of the horses are massive; George paints them as if they were translucent--as if the human eye could not comprehend bodies so large speeding so quickly through time

"Bounding Home" is an imposing piece, certain to dominate most any wall. It is rendered in oil on a canvas 36" x 72 " and measures 42" x 78" with frame. circa 2008.
