It opens … Read more This mahogany and burl mahogany veneer sideboard features a simple and refined design, typical of the Empire style. It opens along the waist with two drawers fitted with functional locks and attractive bronze keys. The filleted entry adds a decorative touch. Just below, two recessed doors, trimmed with a burl mahogany veneer arranged in an open book, open with a chiseled key, revealing a shelf and ample storage space. The uprights are adorned with detached columns, with bronze capitals and collars, resting on ball feet. The cabinet is topped with Belgian granite marble with crystalline limestone adorned with shells and fossils. The drawer interiors and structure are made of solid oak, offering strength and authenticity. A beautifully crafted piece of furniture, both decorative and functional, a testament to the craftsmanship of its time.
