Historic original sepia photograph of the steamship S.S. Tuscaloose City, owned by the Isthmian Steamship Lines of New York. The vessel was built in 1920 by the Chickasaw Shipbuilding & Car Co. in Chickasaw, Alabama, during the post–World War I boom in American commercial shipping. This framed image includes a mounted title placard identifying the ship, its owners, and builder, making it both a handsome nautical display piece and a primary historical record of early 20th-century American shipbuilding.
