A thin line can be seen dividing the lighter blue of the sky from the darker blue of the sea. The lower part of the painting depicts a series of classic red-tiled village houses. Signed "pinard" at the bottom right. Created in a style reminiscent of various elements of the naive art movement. The painting is unframed and measures medium to large. The colors are very bold, ranging from the bright white of the houses to the bright red of the tiles, from the green of the countryside to the blue of the sea and sky. A beautiful painting of good artistic quality. Pinard (1883-1938) was a renowned french artist and illustrator, primarily responsible for lively genre scenes and beautiful seascapes.
