Small Restoration period mahogany bookcase.
The small proportions of this bookcase are unusual.
The front is made of flamed mahogany, arranged with a careful attention to grain and symmetry. This creates a harmonious and elegant result.
The upper part consists of a top and not a simple cornice, allowing for the placement of a vase or ornament, if desired.
The interiors are neat and glazed, and the shelves are adjustable thanks to racks. The pediment of the shelves is also veneered with mahogany.
The keyholes are gilded bronze.
