Details: Kai Kristiansen (b. 1929) apprenticed in cabinetmaketing and then enrolled at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, where he studied under Kaare Klint. He designed continuously for decades for many of the most prominent Danish manufacturers, and he is the last living Danish designer of his caliber from the mid century era.
