Rya rugs are renowned for their colorful, expressive abstract designs and their thick high pile. This piece, too, enjoys geometric patterns in tones of sage green, brown and cream that evoke a gorgeous shabby-chic retro vibe. This is a particularly special piece to be noted for the woven numericals and alphabets at the lower end in different shades of brown, reading as ‘19-JRT-37’—most likely speaking to the year of origin as well as the weaver’s initials.
