A Monumental Pair of Early 19th-Century Chinese Famille Rose Porcelain Vase Lamps with Victorian Shades
An exquisite and rare pair of early 19th-century Chinese Famille Rose porcelain vases, masterfully transformed into monumental lamps. These exceptional pieces feature a striking yellow ground, richly decorated in the traditional Famille Rose style. Each vase is intricately hand-painted with lush, vibrant scenes of exotic songbirds perched among blossoming trees, set within a flourishing natural landscape of flowers and foliage.
The vases showcase bulbous, rounded shoulders adorned with elaborate floral motifs, tapering down to geometric octagonal (eight-sided) bases with a round top— the brass base has a lattice open fretwork reticulated design with an etched scroll pattern border along each of the (Octagonal) 8 sides, base measures 11 inches wide by 11 inches deep and has the most incredible patina that only comes with age. Each porcelain vase alone stands 18 inches tall, with the complete lamp height reaching 35.5 inches (or 39 inches total with lampshades). Both vases/ lamps have a round ball pull chain.
Crowning these majestic lamps are stunning Victorian-style lampshades: six-paneled cream fabric with a delicate floral pattern, trimmed in elegant fringe along the bottom edge and finished with lace detailing at the top. Each shade measures an impressive 20 inches in height by 22 inches in round width, perfectly complementing the substantial scale and refined character of the lamp bases.

Amazing antique monumental Pair of Chinese Famille Rose yellow ground Polychrome Porcelain Lamps! The lamps have No Chips, No cracks, and No repairs. Please note that each lamp vase does have a drilled hole at the bottom of the porcelain vase for conversion to lamps that were not utilized. Both lamps have been newly rewired. The lamp shades are in good condition, minor imperfections are normal considering age.
