A rather spectacular view of Maidstone Golf Course in East Hampton, where the greens are decidedly impressive and the sky is making quite a production of itself.

An expansive fairway stretches beneath a sky of soft blue, blush and gold, with dramatic cloud formations that seem to have arrived with their own agenda. It's a familiar East Hampton landscape, but the light has other ideas, turning an ordinary afternoon on the course into something worth taking home.

Photographed by Coastal Lane, this image is part of The Maidstone Collection, an original series celebrating the landscapes, changing light and unmistakable character of the East End.

A little piece of East Hampton, with all the view and none of the waiting for the foursome ahead of you.
