This represents the historical Buddha in … Read more This is a large hard to find wooden Buddha sculpture in the reclining position. This represents the historical Buddha in his final moments as he passes into nirvana or parinirvana, which is liberation from the cycle of rebirth. The sculpture seems to have been gilded, but they have started fading because of age. Overall dimensions of the sculpture are 75" long, 13.5" wide, 13.5" high and weigh about 175 lb. The wood is very heavy, probably teak. See less
