An original double sided porcelain over iron advertising sign for Quaker State Motor Oil. Retains part of the maker's mark for the Vitrified Iron Products Co. of Clyde, Ohio. This is the early version of this sign, likely made in the 1920s--could be as late as 1932, as the Vitrified Iron Products Co. stopped making porcelain signs by 1933.
A hard-to-find piece with great aging and patina that displays well.
